The mission: to disciple others one-on-one — with the gospel, not rules or performance, at the center of how people change. Each lesson below is tied to one chapter and gives you one tangible win you can use in a real discipling relationship.
| # | Lesson | One-line idea |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Making Disciples | A disciple is rational, relational, missional — the gospel makes and matures. |
| 2 | The Gospel Commission | Go in Jesus's authority, baptize into his name, teach his commands. |
| 3 | The Goal of Discipleship | The restored imago Dei — becoming like what we behold. |
| 4 | Twisted Motives | Legalism and license twist everything; hear and spot the drift. |
| 5 | Gospel Motivation | Religious affection, warnings & promises, repentance. |
| 6 | Gospel Power | Gospel holiness — impossible without the Spirit. Pray. |
| 7 | Communal Discipleship | Three conversions: to Christ, to church, to mission. |
| 8 | Mentor Discipleship | Paul's roles — spiritual father, mother, brother. |
| 9 | Peer Discipleship | Repent of sin · Rejoice in Christ · Reproduce disciples. |
| 10 | Discipleship Groups | Forming and sustaining groups; Text → Theology → Life. |
| 11 | Gospel-Centered Culture | Culture spreads by modeling, training, stories, gospel language, friendship. |
This course equips you for a real relationship, not a certificate. Put the lessons to work in your church small group and a same-gender discipleship group of 2–4 trusted friends — the places to be known, confess, and observe gospel change in others.
