# Mission: 4 Chair Discipling

## Why
I am a mature believer preparing to **teach and preach** the *4 Chair Discipling* framework (Dann Spader / Moody, 2014). My goal is to master Jesus's disciple-making pattern — the four challenges, the underlying Gospel chronology, and the obstacles between chairs — so I can faithfully and compellingly pass it on to others, not merely absorb it myself.

## Success looks like
- I can articulate the four challenges of Jesus with their scripture anchors from memory (John 1:39; John 1:43; Matt 4:19; John 15:16).
- I can map each chair to its biblical stage (lost → believer → worker → disciple-maker), its 1 John 2:12–14 growth metaphor, and its fruit-bearing level (no fruit → fruit → more fruit → much fruit).
- I can explain the barriers/sticking points between chairs (Mark 4 soils; John 15 barriers: sin, pruning, satisfaction) and how Jesus modeled breakthrough.
- I can teach or preach a single chair, or the whole pathway, in a way that is both faithful to the book and grounded directly in Scripture.
- I have a reusable reference deck (HTML) I can return to when preparing talks.

## Constraints
- Source material is the local `./Source/` folder (the book, a small-group guide, and a Disciple-Making Movements PDF). Treat these as the primary canon; verify against the Bible itself.
- Lessons should be **longer deep dives** (not 5-minute bites), balanced between framework and Scripture.
- I am already grounded in the Christian life — skip basics of salvation/prayer/Bible study; assume spiritual maturity.
- Learning is in service of communication: every lesson should end with something I could turn around and teach.

## Out of scope
- Comparative review of other disciple-making models (Real-Life Discipleship, Contagious Disciplemaking, etc.) unless directly illuminating.
- Church-growth / congregational strategy consulting beyond what the book covers.
- Languages (Greek/Hebrew) beyond the key transliterated words the book itself uses (mathetes, akoloutheo, katartizo, meno, airo, diatribo).
