- W. E. Vine, *The Epistles of Peter and Jude* (1957) — a classic brethren-assembly expositon of 1 Peter. Use for: a tradition-respecting reading of the letter, especially the priesthood and suffering passages.
- W. Kelly, *Lectures on the First Epistle of Peter* — older brethren expositon; useful for historical assembly readings of the "living stones" and "royal priesthood" passages.
- T. Newberry, *The Englishman's Bible* (interlinear/notes) — consulted historically in many assemblies for its Hebrew/Greek emphasis; useful for word-level checks in the priesthood and suffering texts.

> These are cited for tradition context; pair every claim with the text and with Rogers/Henry/Guzik. Where brethren assembly practice and the plain text coincide (priesthood of all believers, gathered worship, believer's baptism), draw on it; where a tradition's emphasis differs from the text's main point, let the text lead.

## Wisdom (Communities)

## Gaps
- A high-trust online **commentary** for quick passage lookup beyond Guzik (e.g. IVP Tyndale, ESV Expository Commentary online access) — to confirm details when Rogers/Henry are silent.
- A modern academic commentary for the harder interpretive cruxes (e.g. 3:18-22, the "spirits in prison") — note any position taken and its evangelical alternatives when those lessons are built.
